Description:

• I used my autonomy in bringing pipe mills.organizational changes that I made to the plate mills.
• proceeded also to prepare the disposal of plate mill No. 1, for the part of Maintenance.
• designed and made many changes to the plate mill no. 2 and provided specifications and materials needed to buy the new stand of plate mill nr . 2 , for the defect discovered in 1978, and planned the work of replacing the rolling mill stand
• in addition I planned also the interventions to the damaged beam of the 47000 tons'O' press of the pipe mill No.2 with it's hydraulic components.
• In the rolling mill No. 2, together with the technicians of the Materials Development Center (Rome), an advanced acoustic detection and calculation of fracture's progress was installed to control and predict the remaining stand life.
  In this way , limiting the rolling loads, they planned production and the residual duration, arriving at the great stop maintenance without loss of production.
  
  During this period I had the opportunity to participate in the study and implementation of the second step of the maintenance rationalization.
