With these changes, the mill was able to work with higher couples and speeds, lower lubrication time, increasing its productivity by at least 10 %, and finally avoiding changes to the stand, which would have cost more than 4 million U.S. dollars.

Position 1977-1980 : maintenance manager assistant.
