Position from : AST TERNI . In charge of rationalizing the PMA ( Magnetic Steel Production )
Description : took part in two missions with Nippon Steel Corp., I have written specifications and standards of work ' Global Service ' and contracts applied to the maintenance of sanders, cranes and other.

I pushed the system of 'Maintenance Engineering' to be effectively more oriented to the needs of the plants that to the maintenance techniques per se, aiming to improve quality, productivity, and costs.

made ​​some modification of plants, such as a new device for the application of the insulation on the plate magnetic, the increase of speed of an annealing line, and many other embodiments of small improvements.

One of the best studies was the implementation of a system for scheduling inspections and work 'just in time', based on the analysis of fault data and calculating MTTR and MTTF of elementary components. It did run on the local PC taking the data by the OPERATION'S information system.


Note: in 1994 my father deceased, and I had to take care of the family business , but my mother was then still alive and very collaborative, and I avoided to waste my time on officialdom. At the end of the year I resigned, taking advantage of favorable conditions  ( special law for the steel industry ) .
