Mary's life is hidden and humble, and even though she is the God mostly favored human being, so that she was chosen as the Mother of Jesus, she is almost never or rarely mentioned in the Gospels, but in this occasion.
However the direction that her life suggests to us is clear.
Following her example our life should be steady and our work should be done at our best without thinking that all what we do is done for ourselves only.
Here on this Earth perhaps there are many people of whom we are responsible, that is our family, co-workers, friends. First of all we should seek their own good.
Mary teaches us to put attention to respect our neighbor, and try do not offend or be arrogant, and don't think that we are so superior to others, although perhaps from the human point of view we could be so.
In fact our physical or mental skills and abilities are gifts coming from Him, and not by our merit.
Mary has offered her work to God, giving birth and nurturing the child Jesus. So we should think that what we are doing is for His glory, a small drop to improve the created world.
And let's always remember that every material and intellectual differences between human beings are insignificant in front of incomprehensible vastness of God.

Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Luke 1:46-56.
Mary said: "My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord;
my spirit rejoices in God my savior.
For he has looked with favor on his lowly servant;
from this day all generations will call me blessed.
The Almighty has done great things for me,
and holy is his name.
He has mercy on those who fear him
in every generation.
He has shown might with his arm, dispersed the arrogant of mind and heart.
He has thrown down the rulers from their thrones but lifted up the lowly.
He has filled the hungry with good things;
and the rich he has sent away empty.
He has come to the help of his servant Israel ,
remembering his promise of mercy,
The promise he made to our fathers,
to Abraham and to his descendants forever."
Mary remained with her about three months and then returned to her home.
