Jesus gets in line, queuing with everyone else waiting to be baptized.
He does not take advantage to leapfrog others, and to go first. To fulfill Justice He  is baptized by John  AS ALL THE OTHERS.
I think this fact teaches me that to follow Jesus I too must do the same, living in my ordinary life. I do not have to take undue advantages of my social position, or even of the circumstances.
Although for justice I've to demand what is mine,  I have to follow the laws and customs like all ordinary citizens, and respect the rights of others as well as I hope that the others do towards me. .

I believe that indeed a mysterious voice had proclaimed the divinity of Jesus on the Jordan's banks.  For this fact  I will try to behave justly to please God, to give Him thanks, to honor Him and the same baptism  which I also received, that made me too His adopted son.

Then Jesus came from Galilee to the Jordan to John, to be baptized by him.
John tried to deter him, saying, "I have need to be baptized by you, and you come to me?".
But Jesus said, "Allow it now, for thus it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness."
Then he allowed. Just baptized, Jesus came up from the water: and lo, the heavens were opened and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting on him. And a voice from heaven said, "This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased."
